Seller Agreement

1. Becoming a Seller

To sell on Alkebulan Artist Hub, you must complete our Cultural Authenticity Verification process. This confirms your identity, craft, and community ties. Only verified artists may list products on the platform.

By becoming a seller, you agree to uphold the highest standards of authenticity, craftsmanship, and cultural integrity.

2. Authenticity Guarantee

  • All listed items must be authentic handmade work or culturally accurate pieces created by you or under your direct supervision.
  • Mass-produced, factory-made, or counterfeit items are strictly prohibited.
  • You must accurately describe materials, techniques, dimensions, and cultural origins.
  • Cultural stories must be truthful, respectful, and credited to the community they originate from.

The platform may remove any listing that violates these authenticity standards without prior notice.

3. Commission Structure

Alkebulan Artist Hub operates on a commission model to sustain platform operations, marketing, verification, and community support.

  • Standard Artist Plan: 30% platform commission per sale.
  • Premium Promotion Plan: 40% platform commission per sale (includes enhanced visibility and featured placement).
  • You receive the remaining balance after commission deduction as your artist payout.
  • Commission is calculated on the final sale price excluding shipping.

4. Listing Requirements

  • Each product must have clear, high-quality images showing the actual item.
  • Titles and descriptions must be accurate and not misleading.
  • Pricing must be fair and reflect the value of the work.
  • You must indicate available stock and estimated production time for made-to-order items.
  • Shipping information and estimated delivery times must be clearly stated.

5. Order Fulfillment

  • You must fulfill orders within the stated timeframe.
  • Items must be carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  • You are responsible for ensuring accurate shipping labels and customs documentation.
  • You must communicate proactively with buyers regarding any delays or issues.

6. Payouts

Artist payouts are processed according to the platform's payout schedule. You must provide valid payout information (bank account or mobile money details) to receive earnings. The platform is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payout information.

7. Termination

Alkebulan Artist Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate seller accounts for violations of this agreement, including but not limited to listing fake products, failing to fulfill orders, providing false information, or engaging in conduct that harms the platform's reputation or community trust.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a seller and buyer, Alkebulan Artist Hub will mediate in good faith according to our Buyer Protection Policy and Refund and Return Policy. Sellers agree to cooperate with dispute resolution processes and provide necessary documentation.

9. Cultural Responsibility

As a seller on Alkebulan Artist Hub, you represent not only yourself but your community and cultural tradition. You agree to share cultural stories with respect and accuracy, seek community consent for sacred or ceremonial pieces, and never exploit cultural heritage for profit in ways that harm your community.
