Welcome to Alkebulan Artist Hub. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our platform, including our website, marketplace, and all related services. By using Alkebulan Artist Hub, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

Alkebulan Artist Hub is a marketplace connecting verified traditional African artists with buyers worldwide. Our mission is to protect authentic African art, real creators, and cultural storytelling.

To use Alkebulan Artist Hub, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming legally binding contracts. Artists must complete our Cultural Authenticity Verification process before listing any products.

• Artists must only upload authentic handmade or culturally accurate work.
• All products listed must be created by the named artist or under their direct supervision.
• Fake, mass-produced, or factory-made products are strictly prohibited.
• Artists must provide truthful and respectful cultural stories and descriptions.
• Artists must accurately describe materials, dimensions, and origins of each piece.
• Artists must fulfill orders in a timely manner and communicate with buyers professionally.

• Buyers must respect artists and the cultural meaning of the artworks they purchase.
• Buyers must provide accurate shipping and payment information.
• Buyers agree not to resell purchased items in a way that misrepresents their origin or authenticity.
• Buyers must not use our platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes.

Alkebulan Artist Hub charges a platform commission on each sale to maintain operations, verification processes, marketing, and community support.

• Standard Artist Plan: 30% platform commission on each sale.
• Premium Promotion Plan: 40% platform commission on each sale.
• The artist receives the remaining balance as their payout after commission deduction.
• Commission rates are agreed upon at the time of artist onboarding and may be reviewed periodically.

The following are strictly prohibited on Alkebulan Artist Hub:

• Mass-produced or factory-made items passed off as handmade.
• Cultural objects that are illegally exported or acquired.
• Sacred or ceremonial items sold without proper community consent and documentation.
• Items that promote hate, discrimination, or cultural appropriation.
• Misleading listings, false claims, or deceptive pricing.

Alkebulan Artist Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including but not limited to listing fake products, providing false information, engaging in fraudulent transactions, or disrespecting cultural protocols. We may remove misleading listings without prior notice.

Artists retain ownership of their intellectual property. By listing on our platform, artists grant Alkebulan Artist Hub a limited license to display, market, and promote their work. Buyers receive the physical item but do not acquire intellectual property rights unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Alkebulan Artist Hub acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for disputes between buyers and artists beyond the scope of our Buyer Protection Policy. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform and are not responsible for losses due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Alkebulan Artist Hub is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or binding arbitration.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform announcements.
